On Top of the World

Look at the bright smile of this flower. Its inviting you to come and have some great time, isn't it?

If you think yes, you are right! I visited this place yesterday. This flower is enjoying its freedom on top of the world, its on the fort Korigadh located at 30 mins drive from Lonavala.

Korigadh is one of the jewels in Shivaji's great
regime made of many forts. Being there is a "Experience of Life", that is how I wil describe this place.

On the way during my visit to Shirdi, I spotted this beautiful house located in one of fields that are situated on the sides of road. Its a real house; Farmer's own house!

I enjoyed observing the beauty of this place. Lots of open area to move around, open sky and a broad view of horizon. This is essence of a farmer's life! I appreciate the closeness they share with mother nature.

Even within me, deep inside, there is a strong desire to share that kind of closeness with mother nature and that's probably the reason why I am always eager to visit a national park, a safari, a trekking expedition, a weekend at beach and last but not the least a hill station.

Those who have been with me during the engineering college days at Koptown (I mean kopargaon) will not find it difficult to recognize this location.

Its the famous old small bridge connecting Shirdi-Manmaad Highway and Kopargaon.

Recently I had been to Shirdi and got a chance to visit this place.

Still those memories are alive, still I miss those days. I am sure those who have spent time at our Industrial Hostel will forever cherish those moments.
